Suitcase TV Commercial Director, Ros Atkins is interviewed at IBC 2011 by trade magazine TV-Bay, giving an overview of Suitcase TV’s exhibits at the show.

So, I'm here with Ros Atkins at the Suitcase TV stand at IBC 2011, Ros is going to give us a brief overview of Suitcase TV and what they're talking to everybody about here at IBC. So Hi Ros...

RA:
Hi

TV-BAY:
...Tell us a little bit about Suitcase TV.

RA:
We started out manufacturing compliance recording products and quickly learnt that the storage device we developed was particularly good for media and media streaming, and so as the years have gone by we’ve developed a full range of products as you can see on the road map [pointing to product map] there, which tackle major workflow issues that our customers seem to have.

They can either take individual products like Trakstak for adding additional audio tracks to their video. We have Splice and ShotLogger for metadata tagging and for simple editing, and they can have them as individual products or we can combine them into a full media asset management system in just 3U.

TV-BAY:
Sounds great, so you can do a whole system or do individual...

RA:
Absolutely, its almost infinitely scalable we have a very large customer who’s present at IBC at the moment and they have a full media asset management system from us taking up most of their machine room it seems.

TV-BAY:

Suitcase TV goes 3D - With 3DTV expanding into the home-entertainment, Suitcase TV has taken their current range into the 3D realm.
