	Purple Logging

Purple Logging is a broadcast logging or compliance recording system suitable for all requirements from 1 or 2 channel systems to the larger and/or complex installations.

The Purple Logging system is built with separate capture and recording components for complete flexibility and efficiency of system design and storage utilisation. Component building blocks are the VNOC capture card, housed in either 3U or 1U chassis depending on the system design, and TeraStor intelligent storage devices for maximum resilience to data loss.

The Purple Log Browser software, which comes with a free multi-user license, is intuitive and easy to use. From the Purple Log Browser you can review logged video, audio and other service components, including subtitles. Clips can be selected by date and time or by using the timeline.

Copies of clips can be generated in MPEG format for viewing with Windows Media Player, VLC Player or in STV-Log file format for viewing on a stand alone copy of the Log Browser. Clips can also be exported directly to DVD with burnt in timecode, subtitles and selected audio.

Logging schedules: each channel recorded can have its own timed daily recording schedule to reflect the broadcast times of the channel.
Flexible logging periods: a logging period can be set to anything from 1 day to 999 days
Any format of input signal accepted (ASI, SDI including AES or embedded audio, Analogue).
Any format of subtitle can be logged (Teletext, DVB, Imitext)
No limit to the number of audio tracks or subtitle languages that can be logged.
Access to logged data is controlled using hierarchical security permissions
Intuitive browser with ability to view 1, 2 or 4 channels simultaneously.
No limit on distribution of the browser software which can also operate as a secure stand-alone viewer for exported clips
Export selected clips in different formats: STV Log file format, Windows Media Player compatible format, PAL or direct to DVD from authorised workstations.
Compact solution: between 1 and 2 U of rack space per channel.
TeraStor features include: up to 20 TeraBytes of RAW storage plus a range of RAID data protection including mirrored disk arrays and hot-spare drives.
