We also encourage our staff to use public transport and support the Government's “Cyclescheme” cycle-to-work initiative, and chose the location of our premises to be convenient for all forms of public transport. We estimate that over the course of a year our staff travel over 85,000 miles to and from work without using their cars. This translates into a cash saving of around £43,000 and a carbon saving of more than 6 tonnes of carbon dioxide in a year.
